NH Registered Agent.org

One New Hampshire Form Does Two Jobs. A Legal Subscription Does Twenty.

A flat $99 buys one year of registered agent service in New Hampshire — the registered office, same-day scanning of court papers, and reminders before state deadlines.

Whose page is this? NH Registered Agent.org's, and we take $99 a year from New Hampshire companies for the same statutory duty Rocket Lawyer performs. The pricing attributed to Rocket Lawyer below comes from a July 2026 review of its published rates.

The Platform Is the Product, and It Is a Good One

Rocket Lawyer sells a legal subscription. Inside it are contract templates, document assembly tools, and access to attorneys for questions that would otherwise start a billable hour somewhere. Registered agent service is one component of a larger offering, and for a business that keeps drafting agreements or keeps needing a lawyer's eye on something, the bundle can pencil out honestly.

We want to be precise about the criticism, because there is a version of it that would be unfair. This is not teaser pricing. Nobody is being lured in at a low rate.

$125 at Every Tier, Which Is Fair and Still Beside the Point

The published rate for agent duty here is $125 annually, and a July 2026 review found the same $125 at every membership level the company offers. There is no discounted first year that expires into something larger, no tier where the number quietly changes. Consistency of that kind is genuinely to the company's credit and is rarer in this industry than it should be.

The question a New Hampshire owner has to answer is different from whether the price is honest. It is whether the thing being priced is the thing you came for. If you subscribe for the agent and never open the template library, never book a consultation, and never assemble a document, part of that $125 rents shelf space in a law office you do not visit.

A $90 listing from BetterLegal is what stops us calling $99 the floor here. Near the floor is the accurate phrase, and near the floor is where our renewal stays.

New Hampshire's Narrow Form and the Broad Subscription

There is a small piece of New Hampshire drafting that makes the point better than any argument about bundles.

This state named its change document after everything the document can accomplish in one pass. The title walks through the registered office, then the registered agent, and finishes by allowing you to move both in the same filing. Two jobs, one sheet, one fee. Nothing extra is attached and nothing extra is charged, because the state scoped the paperwork to exactly what the situation requires.

That is the philosophy we borrowed. One appointment, one address, one annual figure. If you later want a lawyer, hire a lawyer.

Replacing Rocket Lawyer on a New Hampshire Filing, Step by Step

The change runs on Form 10, filed under RSA 304-C:36, subsection II. Four steps:

  1. Confirm the incoming agent qualifies. New Hampshire accepts an individual living in this state, or one of several in-state entity types, provided the agent keeps a business office at the very street address that will appear as your registered office. The address must be physically in New Hampshire; an out-of-state address stops the filing from being processed at all.
  2. Get that agent enrolled and consenting before anything is submitted. This is the step people skip.
  3. Complete Form 10 and send it to the New Hampshire Department of State, Corporation Division. The state's charge is $15. Filing and paying electronically brings the total to $17, the extra two dollars being the state's handling charge for online payment rather than a larger fee.
  4. Check the public record, then cancel the subscription. Your entity's listing will show the new agent once processing finishes. That is your signal, and nothing before it is.

Appointment first, filing second. Rocket Lawyer remains responsible for anything served on your company until the state records the replacement, which is precisely the continuity you want and the reason cancelling early is a mistake. The same sequence, expanded, is on our New Hampshire agent change page.

The $99 Alternative

  • Registered agent service at $99 a year, with the renewal figure identical to the first invoice
  • Service of process scanned and in your inbox within the business day we receive it
  • A New Hampshire street address on the public record instead of yours
  • Notice ahead of the state's annual report window each year
  • No membership, no tiers, no legal library you are quietly paying rent on

What You Are Actually Choosing Between

Rocket Lawyer at $125 is a legal platform that happens to include an agent. We are an agent, at $99, that does not pretend to be anything else. New Hampshire law asks the same of both: a street address inside the state, a business office matching it, and somebody there on weekdays. Decide which of the two you are actually buying.
